Established in Singapore in 1986, STUDIO 8 was founded by Chief photographer Tommy Chia.

With decades of experience in commercial photography we now integrate video filming as our core work in the fields of Advertising, Architectural, Commercial, Corporate, Industrial, Event, Food, Fashion, Glamour, Interior, Product, Portrait as well as Aerial, Maritime, Oil & Gas Industrial photography & video.

Tommy Chia

Having clocked over 600 hours in the helicopter while on assignment, Tommy Chia is one of the most highly sought after and well respected aerial photographers in Asia.

He held the post of Vice President of the Professional Photographers Association (Singapore) and is also a member of PAPA – Professional Aerial Photographers Association (USA).

It is no wonder clients the world over (Brazil, UK, China, Turkey, USA, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, S’pore, Malaysia, India, Spain, Greece, Italy, Venezuela) seek his advice and help when they require impeccable pictures of their ocean going vessels on their maiden voyages, special cargoes or vessels with unique assignments.

Adrian Thoo

Having started shooting professionally in 1994, Adrian is an industry veteran.

Known for his professionalism, easy rapport and discretion with clients, he has traveled and taken photographs of royalty, international celebrities, politicians, socialites and billionaires among others.

Being versatile, Adrian specialises in luxury/lifestyle event & commercial branding shoots, interior, corporate, art, product, fashion & glamour photography.

He is a member of the Professional Photographers Association (PPAS) and his pictures appear regularly in numerous international publications.

Javan Ng

Javan is an eager story-teller. His passion for photography and video was unravelled ever since he interned at Studio 8 at the tender age of 17.

He makes his narrative come to life through video making using Aerial drones. His unique perspective has resulted in some amazing footage being featured on National Geographic channel.

His commissioned videos have been used in Europe, the middle east as well as Asia.

Notable clients include the Republic of Singapore Navy and the Land Transport Authority of Singapore.
